DS Horse and Dog Training was founded out of a deep love for animals, especially horses and dogs. What began as a passion has, over the years, developed into a professional and specialized training program where rider, horse, and dog grow together as a team.

The foundation of our work lies in solid education and extensive hands‑on experience. I completed my training as a riding instructor at NHB Deurne, and we have also completed multiple professional programs in dog training. This unique combination forms the basis of our training philosophy: calm, clear, and always focused on welfare and safety.

Over the years, we have specialized in both western riding and dog sports, and we are proud to be the only organization in the Netherlands fully dedicated to Horse & dog trail training.

Our background and experience allow us to offer training methods that focus on harmony, trust, and a stable partnership between horse and dog. Our approach is practical, goal‑oriented, and animal‑focused. With knowledge, patience, and enjoyment, we work step by step toward balance within the combination.

Whether you train recreationally or are working toward specific goals, we provide tailored guidance, always respecting the pace of both human and animal.

Our goal is to support riders and their animals in a relaxed, animal‑friendly way, allowing them to work together with confidence, calmness, and enjoyment within the Horse & dog discipline.

As a WRAN‑certified trainer, I coach riders and their dogs from beginner to advanced levels. My training focuses on a calm, clear, and relaxed partnership between horse, dog, and rider, built on trust, confidence, and enjoyment.

I am also a co‑founder of the first organized Horse & Dog Trail weekend training programs and competitions in the Netherlands, and I provide clinics and training sessions across several European countries.

National and International Mentorship

As a four‑time Dutch Champion in Horse & Dog Trail, DS Horse and Dog Training plays an active role in mentoring riders and instructors both nationally and internationally.

We have supported, among others, the first Horse & Dog Trail groups in the United States, sharing our expertise in regulations, training structure, program development and instruction.

Through workshops, personalized mentoring, and hands‑on support, we help riders, trainers and organizations deepen their skills and further develop the Horse & dog discipline. Both locally and internationally.
